UFC 45 was off the hizzle for shizzle

I met one of my favorite fighters of all time, Mark “The Hammer” Coleman.  Met a lot of fighters tonight.  We hung out with Joe Rogan and Eddie Bravo after the show.  Good time.

Oh, as we were leaving, we dumped 50 bucks into the slot machines, since we didn’t pay for anything all night.  Guess who hit for a bucket ful of quarters?  135 bucks.  Donna cashed ‘em out and we took the money and ran.

So here’s a picture of me and Mark Coleman.  I seriously look like I am about to die.  I need to lose weight and get a fucking tan.

And the best line of the night, by far, had to be something said at dinner (dinner, at 4 in the morning!).  I’m not gonna name the guy, but I feel validated that a professional fighter and trainer said this.  I have always felt that the Gracie clan manipulated the early days of the sport in order to stay on top...the proof is that they can’t *buy* a victory these days.  Gracies get tapped or beaten all the time now.  Their arrogance hasn’t allowed them to move past the Gracie style as it was in the early 90’s.

Anyway...this is what he said after going off about Royce constantly changing the rules of his fights to suit his style and squash his opponent’s advantages:

“Fuck Royce Gracie, his Jiu-Jitsu is shit.  I’ll fucking rape a Royce Gracie.  I’ll fucking take his back and choke his face, and then pull his pants down and be like ‘I could have that, but I’m not gonna.’ Fuck Royce Gracie.”

Damn.  Dude has a point of view.  ;)

BTW: Tank/Cabbage should not have been stopped based on what most people saw, but what happened up close was that Tank was saying he could not see out of the cut eye.  He acted all tough afterwards, but he told the ref and the doctor he could not see, and that cals for an immediate stoppage.  Tank threw it in, and Bruce Buffer never should have called it a Referee’s stoppage.  Tank told them he could not see, and that means either he gave up, or a doctor’s stoppage.

Oh, and Phil Baroni got fucking robbed.

More tomorrow, I am beat.
