FUCK. HILLARY.
Who on earth thinks the goddamned fucking government shoudl be wasting it’s goddamned fucking time on this goddamned fucking ridiculous BULLSHIT?
Washington, DC press conference Thursday will see the New York Senator call for a Federal Trade Commission inquiry into the San Andreas mod.
Tomorrow in the country’s capital, Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) will call on the Federal Trade Commission to launch an inquiry into the “Hot Coffee” mod, sources have told GameSpot.
Clinton, a vociferous critic of violence in the media, will be joined by David Walsh, president and founder of the National Institute on Media and the Family; Mary Bissell, fellow at the New America Foundation; and Kiersten Stewart, director of public policy for the Family Violence Prevention Fund.
Clinton is expected to call on the FTC to determine who is responsible for the Hot Coffee mod, a modification that unlocks sexually explicit minigames in Rockstar’s recently published PC version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
While the game is rated M, and therefore not readily sold to those below the age of 17, the mod is easily available online.
A statement distributed by the Senator’s office this afternoon sets the scene, stating that “following recent reports revealing that the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has graphic pornographic content which may be unlocked by following instructions on the Internet, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton will hold a press conference to discuss legislative solutions to keep inappropriate video game content out of the hands of young people.” The statement makes no mention of asking the FTC to step in, but sources tell GameSpot that this request will be the centerpiece of the Senator’s plea tomorrow.
You know...I didn’t think it was possible for her to become a more useless cunt that she already is.
I was wrong.
While the game is rated M, and therefore not readily sold to those below the age of 17, the mod is easily available online.
But you can’t use the fucking mod without the fucking game you vapid cunt. Good lord I hate her. Real, palpable hate.
ATTENTION ALL DEMOCRATS: NOW WOULD BE THE TIME TO TELL HER TO CHILL THE FUCK OUT. Why is she wasting federal resources on an investigation into a fucking game mod?

Machinema, only static
Now this is a cool idea. And the comic is well done to boot!
The project is a comic based off the game Half-Life 2 by Valve Software. This game is quite simply the most amazingly engrossing story that I have ever seen in a video game. Needless to say, it got me inspired, but I had no idea what I could really do.
...
The comic will be called Apostasy, and it will follow 3 characters through a story that happens around the same time as the game… in fact the story will interweave with the game story.

Here is the author’s blog as well.

Never kick your girlfriend…
Penny Arcade is running a storyline right now that so perfectly captures the stupidity of blaming pop culture when your kids do something violent. They manage to say is a few panels what would probably take me paragraphs and paragraphs to say.
See how silly? PA rawkz yer momz.
BTW, if you are even remotely interested in gamesand you’re not reading Penny Arcade, you’re a big poopy-face and I no longer consider you a person. You’re dead to me. So start reading it, because both the comic and the commentary are some of the best writing out there.

Simply awesome
The Godfather, as told by using a mod on Halflife2 that allows you to pose models any way you want. Oh, and with updated int3rw3b dialogue.

This is brilliant…

Valve is irritating me
OK, see, this is what is wrong with this whole ’Steam‘ thing Valve has got going on. Besides the fact that so many people have had problems with it, here’s the newest roadblock.
Half-Life 2 now has multiplayer. Yay, right? NO. There is no patch to download. You have to get it through Steam. What’s the big deal? Well, I have been trying for the last 5 hours, maybe twice an hour, to download it.
Steam - Error
The Steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request.
Please try again ina few minutes.
Same thing as the day they released it. Hey Valve: HOW’S ABOUT MORE SERVERS, GENIUSES!
Grr.

Hey ICCR: Suck my railgun, n00b
Another group who thinks they know better than parents.
As the holiday shopping season begins, we come together as citizens, consumers and investors concerned about the marketing of a culture of violence in a season where “peace and goodwill toward all” are principal themes. We are especially concerned about the marketing of violent entertainment, particularly violent video games, to children.
Aww. Poor little folks who have no one to control. Isn’t it cute when they get involved?
Oh, their list? It looks like a shopping list of the best games of the year. Buy them all!
1. Doom 3
2. Grand Theft Auto: “San Andreas
3. Gunslinger Girls 2
4. Half Life 2
5. Halo 2
6. Hitman: Blood Money
7. Manhunt
8. Mortal Combat
9. Postal 2
10. Shadow Heart
Hat tip: The Bear. And like hiom, I am intrigued by “Gunslinger Girls 2.” Too bad it’s PS2.
