Tito stops Shamrock cold
I wanted to blog on this yesterday, but the video refused to upload. Got it now...so the other day Tito Ortiz & Ken Shamrock had their final fight, the brawl to end it all. As expected, Ken got hammered. He really should have retired about 18 months ago.
What bugged me was Tito's attitude right as the match ended. I got why he did the gravedigger thing...he deserved to be able to put that stamp on this envelope. What pissed me off was he felt the need to flip Ken off. Look, you won. You humiliated a legend with your superior skill. You did the gravedigger gimmick...let it go there.
Ever since I saw Tito on Ultimate Fighter, I've had a change of heart about him. He was really only a prick to Lion's Den fighters because of the way they treated him. He's a great coach, an excellent corner man and he's finally serious about fighting again. Unfortunately flipping Ken off only makes everything people say about Tito true. Ken was actually trying to be respectful and shake Tito's hand.
Now, as you'll see, Tito thought twice about it and sincerely apologized before leaving the ring...so there's that. Hopefully he'll see the tape of the show and realize he didn't come off very gracious in victory. He'll also see a picture-perfect Team Punishment fight. Takedown, punish against the fence, get the knockout or stoppage.

I saw a replay of that fight. Turned my head to read something on my computer and it was over.
